The Revelation of Yeshua to Yochanan

Revelation 10:11 They told me, "You must prophesy again over many peoples, nations, languages, and kings."

We now continue with our study of the Revelation.

11:1 And there was given me a reed like a rod: and one said, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 And the court which is without the temple leave without, and measure it not; for it hath been given unto the nations: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Beit HaMikdash: The Holy Temple

Yochanan is now told to measure the Beit HaMikdash. A temple will have been built as tangible evidence that Rex Mundi is the accepted Mashiach. According to Christian prophecies the key Jewish authorities and most of the world will accept him as such. The Jewish prophecies foretell his coming rule, but do not offer as much information as Yochanan and Paul. Here is one of the main prophecies about him accepted by the Rabbinate:

Sanhedrin Folio 97a: ...Thus hath R. Yochanan said: in the generation when the son of David [i.e. Messiah] will come, scholars will be few in number, and as for the rest, their eyes will fail through sorrow and grief. Multitudes of trouble and evil decrees will be promulgated anew, each new evil coming with haste before the other has ended.'
Sanhedrin 97b: ... Rab said: All the predestined dates [for redemption] have passed, and the matter [now] depends only on repentance and good deeds...
R. Eliezer said [agreeing]: if Israel repents, they will be redeemed; if not, they will not be redeemed.
R. Yahoshua said to him, if they do not repent, will they not be redeemed! [i.e. not so] But the Holy One, blessed be He, will set up a king over them, whose decrees shall be as cruel as Haman's, whereby Israel shall engage in repentance, and he will thus bring them back to the right path.

This is Rex Mundi, the Son of Perdition, the Anti-Christ. Like Haman, he will hate the Jews with a burning hatred and will seek to eliminate us. Like Haman he will seek to incite the masses to turn again us. He will permit and probably even reward those who murder Jews, like the Palestinian Authority pays Muslims to kill us, except on a global scale. This is something the Christian prophets don't mention. These are going to be difficult days and most of the world. Three quarters of the Gentiles and two thirds of theJews, will not survive these events.

Ezekiel chapters 40-47 give the basic layout design of the Beit HaMikdah. Religious Jews have prayed for this reconstruction since the Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. Whether this fortold temple of the Rex Mundi will be cleansed and serve as the Beit HaMikdash or another will arise, most biblical scholars believe the Third Beit HaMikdash will look the same as Second, although some posit it will be larger and include modern technology. Again, we will one day see it for ourselves and know.

There is some question about the existence of the Muslim "Dome of the Rock" Mosque (Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah) that stands on the site of the Holy Jewish Temple that will have to be addressed. Jerusalem was conquered in 637 CE by the Muslim Rashidun Caliphate army during the Islamic invasion of the Byzantine Empire. The Dome of the Rock masjid was completed in 691 CE and is the oldest existing Islamic building in the world other than the mysterious Kaba in Mecca which stands near the center of the great Mosque. The Dome of the Rock is one of Islam's principle "holy places" as Muhammad is supposed to have visited Heaven from the Temple Mount according to Muslim beliefs. How then can the Temple be rebuilt there?

Some have argued that if the Third Temple is the same percentage smaller than the Second Temple was from the First, it could fit with three inches to spare. I can neither confirm nor deny this, but I doubt that will be the answer to the issue. My guess is that the method employed will be more diplomatic. According to the prophecies the Muslims, Jews, Christians and other religions will accept Rex Mundi as the fortold World Teacher and Potentate. Therefore his word will carry incredible weight with them all. If "Messiah" says to do something all sides will accept his decisions. By whatever method the Rex Mundi chooses, he will have the Temple rebuilt on the original site as the prophets state. Of this we can be certain.

Or can we? There is credible reason to posit that his temple may not be the actual rebuilt Beit HaMikdahikdash at all. Near the Dung Gate, just down from the Kotel plaza, overlooking the City of David, is what many experts say is a viable alternative location to the generally accepted Temple Mount site. These scholars argue that based on anceint maps and decriptions the former Temples may have stood on this site, not at the traditional location. A temple could be built there without having to address the issues of the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa Mosque. Although Yochanan refers to this as "the Temple of God," it could be that it is being accepted as such, but is not the Temple the real Mashiach ben David will erect. We will have to wait and see how this works out. In any case, it is my conviction based on my stuides and Jewish Tradition, that the real Beit HaMikdash will be erected on the Mount and that the Rock will be located within the Holy of Holies, never again to be seen other than annually by the Kohen Gadol.

Or... Perhaps there will be an earthquake the whole question will be moot.

The Beit HaMikdash, even in its absence, is the very heart of Judaism as is reflected in our Jewish prayers. It will one day arise never again to fall.

Prayer

Maimonides (Mishneh Torah, Laws of Prayer 1:4) says that until the Babylonian exile happened, all Jews composed their own prayers. This was one of the reforms Yeshua sought to bring back to Judaism. He felt that the rote recitation of prayers had compromised the personal relationship of the people with HaShem. As we read:

Matthew 6:5 And when you pray, don't be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.

The word hypocrite is hupokrites and literally means: one who answers, an interpreter, an actor, a stage player. In other words, Yeshua ws saying not be like those who recite prayers like an actor on a stage. Speak with HaShem from the depths of your consciouness, as Rebbe Nachman of Breslov teaches with hitbodedut.

Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut the door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will recompense you.
7 And when you pray, don't use meaningless repetitions, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.

The word "Heathen" (KJV) or "Gentiles" (ASV) here is ethnikos and means "to be adapted to the customs of an ethnic group." His meaning is clear. He is not saying not to pray "like the Goyim," as we might say as Jews, but rather is advising his followers to talk with HaShem directly rather than mindlessly repeating scripted words according to cultural norms (of any people) as is done with mantras and incantations, or, and this is his point, mindlessly from a siddur (i.e., the Jewish prayer book created by thee men of the Great Assembly). Of course this does not nullify recitation of the Shema and so on, only that we need to understand what we are saying and utter them with our full consciousness. Yeshua then gives an example of how to prayer that ironically, considering the context in which it was spoken, has become the most well known scripted prayer of all: "The Lord's Prayer" or "The Our Father Prayer".

After the Babylonian exile certain Jewish sages (of the Great Assembly) decided that the people needed their guidance in approaching HaShem and so they composed the main portions of the siddur (official Jewish prayers). This decision, Yeshua felt, was a mistake. He advocated drawing the people into more direct and personal communion with HaShem and accused the Scribes and Pharisees of intentionally leading the people farther away from God in order to elevate their own status as middlemen. This allegation by Yeshua was one of the major reasons his reforms were rejected. It should be acknowledged however that he did make some valid criticisms of the First Century Rabbinate as the Chofetz Chaim and others has said.

Here is an example of Yeshua's teaching in this regard:

Mathew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted...

23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you tithe mint and anise and cummin, but have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these you should have done, and not left the other undone.
24 You blind guides! You strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel!
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full from extortion and excess.
26 You blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that their outsides may become clean also.

As the Chofetz Chaim taught of this generation:

Our Sages state: "Jerusalem was destroyed only because its inhabitants limited their decisions to the [letter of the] law of Torah" (Bava Metzia 30b). This seems difficult, for Scripture records many sins of which that generation was guilty.
Our discussion sheds light on the matter. Had the people overlooked the wrong caused them, then HaShem would have forgiven them as well. However, they were absolutely unrelenting toward each other, demanding from one another whatever they could possibly extract according to the law -- and Heaven judged them accordingly

It may appear we are going off topic here but we are not. To the Jews the importance of the Temple can not be overstated! The hypocrisy of the First Century caused the Second Beit HaMikdash to be destroyed. These same rabbis are the ones who rejected Yeshua's reforms. I'm not suggesting they were wrong in rejecting his bid as Mashiach, but neither should we throw the baby out with the bathwater. The First Way Jewish sect was not the Christianity that arose from it three hundred years later. We lost the Second Temple.

The main elements of Jewish prayer still used today were established during the period of the Tannaim. As the orthodox (small o) Jews sought to prepare the Jewish people for life in the Diaspora after the loss of the Temple, certain Pharisees (ie., rabbis), the Tannaim, became those Rabbinic sages whose teachings are recorded in the Mishnah. This period lasted from approximately 70-200 CE. As the My Jewish Learning website tells us, "...from their traditions, later committed to writing, we learn that the generation of rabbis active at the time of the destruction of the Second Temple (70 C.E.) gave Jewish prayer its structure and, in outline form at least, its contents." This new liturgy included the recitations of the Shema, the Amidah (or Shmoneh Esrei), including 18 blessings recited several times daily, and the public recitation of the Torah in installments or parshas. Therefore much of what we today think of as Judaism and Jewish prayer came to be after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, and is a direct result of that horrendous loss. This makes "Rabbinic Judaism" as we know it and "Derect Yeshua," the Way sect that developed out of the reforms of Yeshua, Paul and the others, equivilent in age. Without the Temple "biblical Judaism" can not be practiced. When the Temple is rebuilt Judaism will fundamentally change again.

The presence and even the absence of the Temple is a critical foundation of Judaism, and the Jewish people wherever they have lived have always prayed for three things above all else: 1) to return to Eretz Israel, 2) for the Temple to be rebuilt and 3) for Mashiach to come and accomplish both.

As Rex Mundi, the man like Haman, rises to power he will be accepted as Mashiach by the majority of Jews, Christians, and others. But not by the 144,000 Jews, not so by the righteous remnant of Jews and others. They will refuse to bend knees and for this they will pay a sever price.

This gives us some critical information on identifying Rex Mundi. As things get worse internationally and in Israel people will be seeing and praying for a redeemer. But because they refuse to bend their knees before HaShem and embrace His Written Torah, they will decieved. As the Many of Sin causes the Temple to be rebuilt and signs a peace treaty with Israel, as Paul describes in II Thessalonians, he will be accepted as Mashiach by the Jews, as Yeshua warned would happen (John 5:43). The global despot therefore must be Jewish, as a non-Jew would never be accepted as Mashiach by the Orthodox Jews. And not only must he be Jewish, he must also be able to validate his ancestry according to the detailed Jewish messianic lineage. A problem here is that following the destruction of the Second Temple the Jews lost knowledge of their tribal lineages. With the means currently available, no one can prove their linage back to David conclusively.

How then can any Jew be accepted as Mashiach? There are of course theories. Some say that hidden beneath the Temple Mount (or elsewhere) are records dating from Abraham to 70 CE and beyond which could be discovered. The area under the Mount is still be exhaustivly excavated. Tracing the lineage of some Jewish blood lines could be possible, especially those from the "better" families.

There are also reports of the Merovingian adoption of Mary Magdalene and the child she bore with Yeshua. Supposedly the New Testament recorded wedding feast at Cana was theirs, and she escaped Israel with Joseph of Aramathea after Yeshua's execution. The lineage of that child and subsequint offspring would possibly have been maintained and cross referenced. Those records are believed to be held by the Masonic Lodge or perhaps the Vatican Libraries. According to certain Dark Prophecies this Merovingian lineage will bring forth the Rex Mundi. According to this same belief system, the Bavarian Illuminati have been funding and conducting genetic research for centuries and they have developed a way to absolutely confirm the required lineage of their Messianic candidate: The Human Genome Project. Is this true? Who can say for certain.

However he does it, Rex Mundi must demonstrate to the satisfaction of the world's leading Orthodox Rabbis that he meets ALL of the qualifications to be Mashiach. This wont be easy but today (in 2023) there are at least two candidates in Israel being seriously considered for the post.

Whether or not the Rex Mundi will be a blood descendant of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene I can't say, but I fully expect him to claim the San Grael ("holy bloodline") and to produce solid evidence supporting the claim.

Let me state emphatically that while it is true that SOME Christians say the Antichrist will be Jewish as a form of Antisemitism, the truth is, he will have to be Jewish. To suggest that Orthodox Jews would ever accept a Gentile as Mashiach (as for instance the very unbiblical Left Behind Series did) is absurd and possibly even Antisemitic! The real Mashiach MUST be Jewish and a blood descendant of David. Therefore Rex Mundi must be Jewish if he is to be accepted as Mashiach by the Orthodox. There is nothing Antisemitic about it. And if he can convince the Christian and Muslim would that he is a physical descendant of Yeshua, then his acceptance by all three religions is all but assured going in. This is what I personally expect to happen. Time will tell.

No Gentile, no matter how closely he seems to meet the other qualifications, will be Rex Mundi or Mashiach ben David. This includes Adolf Hitler (despite claioms of parentage by a Jewish maid), Hussein Obama or any other proffered claimant. There have been countless evil people in history and many of these manifested the "spirit of antichrist," but they have all been but dim reflections of the Son of Perdition who is yet to come but who is likely alive today.

We are told the following:

I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour: and as you heard that antichrist will come, even now there have arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour.

Obviously John's expectation here did not come to pass.

According to the biblical and post-biblical Jewish prophets, there will be one man who will be the Antichrist, and that man has yet to appear on the world stage even though we have witnessed man 'antichrists' or evil people.

Our current verse (11:2) states: And the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it has been given unto the nations: and the holy city will they tread under foot forty and two months.

Forty-two months equals three and a half years.

Yochanan is now describing the beginning of the Great Tribulation Period, the final three and a half years of the Olam Hazeh or present world system.

As explained in chapter 9, the Times of the Gentiles (Luke 22:25) will end with a final seven year period. During the first half of that period (known as "the Tribulation") Rex Mundi will appear to be a good if somewhat harsh ruler riding a "white horse." At the midpoint of these seven years however he will commit a grievous sin that will estrange many people. This will take place in Jerusalem and is known prophetically as "the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet." Yeshua references this event here:

Matthew 24:15 When therefore you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that reads understand),
16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains.

When this desecration happens the second half of the final seven year period will begin, known as "the Great Tribulation".

Yochanan will now discuss key events from this second three and a half year (forty-two month) period during which the Holy City of Jerusalem will be trodden underfoot by the New World Order Globalists.

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled.

The Two Witnesses

11:3 And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they will prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Around the time Rex Mundi rises from the dead these two prophets will make their presence known as witnesses (and executioners) against the people of the earth and their infernal leader "the Little Horn," as Prophet Daniel calls the Antichrist (Dan 7:8, 8:9). They will testify to the rightness of God's developing intervention in human affairs and will also act as the executioners of those judgments. They will proclaim the failure of humanity and announce that due to that failure and the intended coming genocide of world Jewry, HaShem is now intervening and taking control of the earth. This announcement is harmonious with the prophecy of Yeshua recorded here:

Matthew 24:22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

The word "witnesses" as used here is translated from martus and references testifying in a legal court of law, sense. As I discussed at the outset of this study, the setting presented by Yochanan is of a courtroom. The case is "Lucifer verses Mashiach" (i.e. the resolution of Lucifer's challenge recorded in the Book of Job). The decisive testimony of these two men will continue for one thousand two hundred sixty days, which is to say, for the same remaining forty-two month or three and half year period that sees the Holy City again trodden under the feet of the Gentiles (compare Matt. 24:15-20). In the Book of Job, Job represents the righteous among humanity while his so-called friends represent the remainder. Job was righteous, but failed to understamnd the absolutely soverighty of God. He thought his own integrity and piety elevated him above the non-religious. HaShem was patient with him but brought him to the realization that the best of our efforts is but filthy rags, as Paul says. "Where were you..." God demands. Now, at the end of the age, the righteous among the Jews and non-Jews realize that without God they are nothing. Lucifer's court case is coming to a devastating end for him.

What these Two Witnesses behold and testify about their fellow humans will sadden and sicken them. They will accurately bear witness against the people of the earth for destroying the environment, for waging unjust wars and genocides, for slaughtering over a billion unborn children through abortion since the conclusion World War Two, for allowing human beings (and animals) to needlessly suffer and die of diseases (many intentionally created in the laboratories of the Elite Globalists), for their many abuses and for needless starvation due to greed and corporatism - even seeds are now being patented! - while the Elite live in the lap of luxury from the efforts of the poverty stricken workers. They will condemn the deliberate deaths of the elderly, the ill and the weak through lab created virus and lethal injection 'cures.' They will condemn Luciferian sentiments such as the following:

The human species is an example of a malignant ecotumor, an uncontrolled proliferation of a single species that threatens the existence of other species in their habitats... The idea that the human population is a planetary cancer is a profoundly disturbing conclusion, but the observations of the scientific community over the last 20 years have provided massive support this hypothesis and little, if anything, to refute it" - late term abortionist Warren Hern

The Two Witnesses will shine the light of Truth on all the evils of humanity and none will be found blameless! The Two Witnesses will point accusing fingers at the Globalist leaders of the planet who, like the first planetary emperor of the age Nimrod, have set themselves up in opposition to HaShem (Genesis 10:9) and who even now are building a metaphorical ziggurat or tower to reach the very heavens (Genesis 11:4) as demonic servants like Yuval Noah Harari seek to replace homo sapiens with a lab created transhumanist species called homo deus!

And HaShem's response will be the same! HaShem is bringing this godless civilization down to its knees and the Two Witnesses, the Twenty Four Elders, the Four Living Creatures, the Martyrs, the 144,000 Jewish remnant and the Great Multitude of Gentiles from every tongue and tribe will unite and loudly proclaim: "Amen! Righteous and True are the Judgments of our God!"

And the Rex Mundi will have to contend with them all as humanity arises to oppose him!

As modern day divinely empowered prophets, the Two Witnesses will deliver HaShem's judgments upon our generation! They will find no joy in their work. Indeed, the prophet tells us they will be dressed in sackcloth, the garments of mourning. Yet these judgments must come before Mashiach can introduce the Messianic Kingdom of HaShem and restore the Blessing of God to the inhabitants of the planet. Those remaining of the 144,000 and the Great Multitude will join with these Two Witnesses in condemning the Luciferian Great Re-set and their Globalist minions. The will continue warning the people to repent and oppose the Beast as long as the breath of life remains within them!

Like prophets of old, the Two Witnesses will make that which is now hidden known to everyone! The plans of the Bavarian Illuminati, Bilderberg, and Davos and the traitors of every nation will be exposed. They will identify and judge all who stand in opposition to HaShem and His Plan of Planetary Edenic Restoration. They will name names and call down Divine Wrath and Vengeance against the enemies of God and humanity! Mashiach will empower the Witnesses to act on his judgments as his official representatives. Remember, Mashiach is directing the Armies of HaShem! Mashiach ben Yosef will appear on the scene Israel as the Jews there fall on their faces before HaShem following the Abomination of Desecration. They will make genunine teshuva and HaShem will send them Mashiach ben Yosef to drive the Globalists out of all the Lands granted to our people by HaShem.

But the prophets of old, even Elijah, never acted with such fierce power nor on a global scale as these two will! The Two Witnesses will declare that Mashiach's Global Court is now in session! All who violate the Seven Noahide Laws will be held to account! Even as Rex Mundi is frantically trying to maintain his control over China (see 9:13 remarks) and the other nations that will be rebelling at this point, Mashiach ben David will be calling the Earth to judgment! Still Rex Mundi, now fully possessed by Lucifer himself, will seek to expand and solidify his power and crush all opposition! Especially the Jews!

Concerning the Two Witnesses Yochanan continues:

11:4 These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing before the Lord of the earth.

So the logical question is: who are these two prophets? We are told that they are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks or menorahs who stand before HaShem. What does this tell us?

Zechariah 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2 And he said unto me, What do you see? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;
3 and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side.
4 And I answered and spoke to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said me, Know not what these are? And I said, No, my lord...

4:11 Then I answered, and said to him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side?
12 And I answered the second time, and said to him, What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

Understand that the English word "anointing" is the literal translation of the Greek word "christ," which translates the Hebrew word "mashiach," and refers to all who accept the role of hinderer (II Thessalonians 2) and are anointed by HaShem for this important work. All such people are, in this sense, christs or christianos. One such christ will fulfill the Messianic prophecies. It is he who will deliver the world from evil by God's power. He will lead the armies of HaShem. Thus far this man's identity remains unknown. For more on this topic see my studies: Identifying the Mashiach. Two christianos or anointed ones will serve as Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben David, two others will serve as the Two Witnesses. Other christianos include the 144,000 Jews and the Great Multitude. God yet has many anointed servants ready to do His Will.

According to the rabbis, in every generation there have always been divinely anointed people ready to perform any task required by HaShem. In these Last Days we are all called upon to be christianos and to hinder the rise and revelation of the Beast, the Rex Mundi. Once he arises we are all commanded to stand against him. The Two Witnesses will be specially empowered 'hinderers.' They will stand and carry out their ministry as directed by Mashiach. They will be, we might say, Generals in HaShem's Holy Army. Of all such anointed servants Yeshua tells us,

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few chosen.

So we must keep our lamps filled with the oil of the Spirit, our wicks trimmed and our minds alert to the signs of the times!

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened to ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

25:8 And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there will not be enough for us and you: go rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say to you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour.

We can not say who these two prophets are or may have been in the past. They may not even know! Some conjecture they are Moses and Elijah, others say Daniel or perhaps David or some other faithful servant. We simply are not told. According to the texts we have considered, we do know that these particular servants of HaShem have lived and served Him in the past and that they are likely alive today ready to fulfill their next assignment. As one confirmation of this consider this comment made to Prophet Daniel:

Daniel 12:13 But go your way till the end be; for you will rest, and then perform your task at the end of the days.

If these are the End Times as many us believe, then Daniel is likely alive today ready to serve.

And another example:

Matthew 17:10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come?
11 And he answered and said, Elijah indeed will come and restore all things:
12 but I say to you that Elijah has come already but they did not recognize him, they did to him whatsoever they desired. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them about John the Baptist.

11:5 And if anyone seeks to hurt them, fire will proceed out of their mouth and devour their enemies; and if anyone tries to hurt them, in this manner will he be killed.

No wonder they are clothed in sackcloth! Despite the righteousness of their judgments, in many ways this will surely be a heartbreaking service.

11:6 These men have the power to shut the heaven, that it rains not during the days of their prophecy. They have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they shall desire.

The Two Witnesses are not only martus who will deliver their testimony! They will minister specifically in and to Eretz Israel, however the scope of their testimony will be global. There is no reason to assume they will only work in Israel. They will doubtless appear anywhere on the planet according to the will of HaShem. Many of the natural laws we assume to be unassailable will be shattered during these Seven Years. For one person to appear simultaneously in two places today is hard to accept (although it is reported from time to time) but by this point in the Great Tribulation such things will be occurring regularly. It is quite possible if not likely for instance that the Two Witnesses will stand in judgment simultaneously in Jerusalem, Paris, London, Mumbai and amidst the rubble that was formerly New York... anywhere the Spirit leads them. HaShem is not a limited being nor are those under His anointing! As the Psalmist quotes HaShem:

Psalm 82:5 They [humanmity] know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I said, You are gods, all of you children of the Most High.
7 Nevertheless you will die like mortals, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you will inherit all the nations.

These christianos or anointed servants of HaShem, these hinderers, are even now rising! For more on this important Psalm see my study Arise Oh God!

By the time the Two Witnesses begin their service - three and a half years after the rise of Rex Mundi - vast areas of the earth will have already been decimated. Millions of people will have been killed by war, biological weapons, revolutions, natural disasters, starvation, wild starving animals, marauding demons and humans, plagues of every kind etc. and now, it will be their grim task to add to the devastation! Sackcloth indeed!

Their message will be a simple one, yet oh so profound!

• Reject the Rex Mundi
• Reject the authority of the global government
• Reject the global tracking and monetary implant (or whatever the Mark ends up being: more on this in future chapters)
• Reject the mandated Luciferian religion/philosophy of Rex Mundi
• Reject the False Prophet who will have arisen from Rome and declared Rex Mundi to be the Messiah.
• Embrace the One God and His Mashiach as your king before its too late!

The vast majority of us will not survive the coming seven years, especially the second half. The wise thing to do is develop an eternal perspective and prepare yourself to stand against Hell itself whatever the cost, because that is what is coming: Hell and its King.

Hence, we are advised:

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].
13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

The testimony of the Two Witnesses will fill the earth and will shame the conscious of everyone! All those who have not been sealed by HaShem will despise these men with a vengeance and will pray to the idols of the Beast for their deaths and for the end of their judgments!

The Novus Ordo Seclorum or New World Order government of Rex Mundi will seek to silence the Two Witnesses in various ways. They will go after all who accept their testimony and those who stand with them. During these days ever more martyrs will lay down their lives but the Elite will be incapable of silencing the Two Witnesses! Those who seek to save their lives will lose them but those who offer up their lives in service to HaShem will save them.

Then...

11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their master was impaled.

Holy Jerusalem (where Yeshua was impaled: "stauroo" means to stake, to drive down stakes) by this point will have been desecrated by Luciferian Darkness. It will be like Sodom (paranoid and violent) and like Egypt (filled with idolatry and perversions of every kind). Once the service of the Two Witnesses is completed the forces of Rex Mundi - the beast that comes up out of the abyss - will be allowed to kill them. The Two Witnesses will willingly embrace martyrdom as an example to all who are yet to die. The Two Witnesses will be murdered in the streets of desecrated Jerusalem and mobs of Luciferians will cheer with demonic glee believing they have won!

11:9 And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations the people will look upon their dead bodies for three days and a half, not permitting their dead bodies to be buried.
10 And they that dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and make merry; they will send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

The Two Witnesses will have seared the conscience of the world, revealing everyone's sins and convicting them all! They will have called down so much devastation on this rebellious Earth, but still most people will not repent and seek the true God! Their anger and hatred of these men and of the God they serve will only increase!

But now... now they will exalt because their 'Glorious Leader' will have proved who has the greater power! The greater authority! "Just look!" the people will triumph, "the Golden One has killed these worrisome false prophets!"

Talk about a Mardi Gras, a Dionysian Carnival! For three days the Luciferians will be ecstatic! They will be dancing in the streets across the globe with all manner of excesses and moral debauchery! CNN will doubtless have cameras locked onto the corpses of these men while their demon possessed newscasters gloat in triump as they broadcast the global celebration of the triumph of evil over good! Of Lucifer over Shiloh! The people will rejoice that their God (Rex Mundi)rose from the dead, but just see these men! Their miserable bodies laying in the gutter as their remains are defiled by the celebrating masses! These left-overs from the Old Order will have been destroyed and utterly disgraced! But they will all be as people who are drunk from wormwood! They more they celebrate they greater their coming suffering.

11:11 And after the three and a half days the breath of life from God will enter into them, and they will stand upon their feet. Great fear fell upon them that beheld them.

Imagine this! As the crowds again swell around the corpses amid hushed whispers and the whir of TV cameras... and then... a twitch. "Did you see that, his finger moved!" And then another, and then... The Two Witnesses rise to their feet and stand, beholding the awe stuck crowd with pity! Around the globe people rush to their television sets to witness the impossible as it happens live on CNN! And then...

11:12 And the two men heard a great voice from heaven saying to them, Come up here. And they went up into heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Just imagine this!

11:13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and there were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Like Pharaoh during the plaques, they will acknowledge the Glory, but they will not repent!

11:14 The second Woe is past: behold, the third Woe comes quickly.

As we read before at 8:13: And I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, woe, for them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound.

The Seventh Trumpet: The Third Woe

As you will doubtless recall, the Seventh Trumpet is contained within the Seventh Sealed Scroll (as are the Seven Bowls or Saucers we will read about in chapter sixteen). The Seventh Trumpet is now sounding as we reach this point in Yochanan's prophetic presentation. To avoid confusion here, understand that this final trumpet covers a longer period of time than its actual sounding would suggest. It will not actually be sounded at this point, but the prophet lists the events that follow under it as an inclusive time frame.

11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of this world has become [the kingdom] of our God, and of His Mashiach: and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Its important to note that such verses make it clear that Mashiach ben David will not be God as some teach! HaShem, the One True God, is establishing the Kingdom of His servant, the Mashiach, for His own Glory.

Remember this quote from Paul's prophetic writings:

I Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all will not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.

This is that last or Seventh Trumpet. It will be sounded as Mashiach takes his throne and inaugurates the Theocratic Kingdom of HaShem. We will discuss the details of what will happen then later in this study. Yochanan however is referencing that final sounding of the Seventh Trumpet here. As mentioned previously, those who cite this verse by Paul as evidence for the doctrine of the Rapture need to reconsider their beliefs. The final trumpet will not sound until seven years after they believe the Rapture will occur! We're all here for the duration.

The exact corresponding timing of the ascension of the Two Witnesses, the conclusion of the War of Magog, and the enthronement of Mashiach ben David as King of Israel and overlord of the Earth is not given, however it is clear from what we have that these events happen in fairly rapid sequence and in this order.

As the Seventh Trumpet sounds:

11:16 And the four and twenty elders who sit before God on their thrones fell upon their faces and worshipped God,
17 saying, We give you thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who is and who was; because you have taken up your great power, and begun your reign.
18 The nations were angry, and your wrath arose. The time of the dead to be judged, and the time to reward your servants the prophets and the saints and them that fear your name, both the small and the great has come. You will now destroy those that destroy the earth.
19 And there opened the Temple of God that is in heaven; and there was seen in his Temple the ark of his Covenant; and there followed lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

I mentioned above that the temple of the Rex Mundi may not be the Beit HaMikdash, but a counterfeit, possibly located near the Dung Gate. These verses lend support to this idea. Now that HaShem has taken reign of the earth and installed His Mashiach in his place, now the Heavens open and the Third Beit HaMikdash is seen withj its glory. Some sources suggest that their Third Temple will arose from the earth, suggesting human construction. Others speak of it descending from the clouds. Yochanan, who has in his vision seen the temple of Rex Mundi now behold the real Beit HaMikdash as the heaven are opened and the Merkaba comes into view. We'll discuss the events that happen at the establishment of the Kingdom later, but these are the events John is now previewing.
